Part Time Assistant Coach, Men's Soccer . This position reports to the Head Coach.
Responsibilities Train and development of UTAMPA men's soccer goal keepers.
Assist with recruiting, player evaluation and the player selection process.
Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting practices.
Assist with pre-game preparation.
Assist with the operation of the team during the games.
Assist with scouting and evaluation of opponents.
Assist with the development of players on and off the field.
Assist with video breakdown and preparation for matches.
Submit a year-end report to the head coach containing player observations.
Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and
development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Contribute to the success and growth of UTampa Athletic department.
Contribute to the success and growth of UTAMPA.
Time Commitment Weekly practices and/or games; approximately 2-3 hours in duration.
Weekly game/practice preparation; usually 1-2 hours in duration.
Games/SSC & NCAA Tournaments (home and away).
Attend team/association meetings as required.
Check emails and answer any enquiries in a timely fashion, approximately 2 hours a
week.
Qualifications Strong soccer background in playing, coaching, and evaluating. USSF GK License recommended but not required.
Strong interest and commitment to student/athlete development.
Ability to work with fellow coaching personnel.
Ability to communicate on and off field requirements to student-athletes.
Available to meet time requirements.
Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs
such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
