Description Robert Half is partnering with a boutique litigation plaintiff law firm located in Sherman Oaks to fill a Legal Secretary position on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to join a high-performing team at a firm known for its exceptional legal services and supportive, collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate has prior legal secretary or legal assistant experience supporting litigation attorneys, with strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to managing case materials. Key Responsibilities + Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to litigation attorneys. + Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements. + Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, client meetings, and travel arrangements. + File legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing and paper filing as applicable). + Maintain and organize case files, ensuring timely updates to the document management system. + Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, court staff, and opposing counsel. Requirements Qualifications + Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts; appellate e-filing experience a plus + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and familiarity with legal document management systems. + Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Bachelor's degree preferred; paralegal certificate or relevant coursework a plus.
